For each event we are offering the following:
- transfer to and from the airport to the hotel
– the transport from the hotel to the event area
– accommodations and three meals per day
– motorcycle/ATV rental in case you can’t bring your own (these will have an extra cost)
– the entrance to all tourist attractions on route (monasteries, castles, fortresses etc)
– technical assistance on route (we can help with a flat tyre or some minor mechanical interventions that can be done on the spot and with the tools we carry with us, but we cannot perform major repairs)
– detailed maps for each stage of the event
– at the end of the event you will receive a DVD with photos of the trip and a customized Kulturide t-shirt
The events we’re organizing are between three and six days of actual ridding depending on the location. One day will be reserved for the gathering of all the riders and the transportation to the area in which the event will take place. This three to six days variation is determined by the amount of local routes, villages and landmarks that we have in a certain location.
The routes are made in such a manner to allow you to discover the local culture, monasteries, archaeological sites and breathtaking landscapes. All these can’t be discovered using the usual roads.
These events will be of two kinds: “base camp type” and “checkpoint type”.
Base camp type events will allow you to explore an area using only one accommodation location. Meaning that we’ll return each day to the same place – the base camp.
And the checkpoint events will let you discover an area by moving from place to place and using different accommodations for each evening.
The style of the event will be dictated by the geography of the area that we are exploring. Some of the areas are shaped in such a manner that will require a certain type of event. For vast areas with multiple landmarks and sightseeing we’ll choose the “base camp type” in order to cover the whole area without missing interesting places.
On the other hand, when we’re travelling from point A to point B and the distance between them is long and all the landmarks and sightseeing are located in between the two, the only way to explore this area is to divide it in multiple stages. Hence the “checkpoint type” event.
Breakfast will be served at the place where we’ll be spending the night. Each day at noon we will stop for lunch in a designated place on route where we’ll be serving local traditional food. In the evening, supper will be assorted with wine and local strong beverages such as “tuica”, “horinca” or “palinca”.
Danube Delta event details
The region we’re about to explore is a unique delta in Europe, famous for its mix of fauna, flora and culture. It’s the place where the Danube meets the Black Sea. From a hystorical point of view, this delta was a strategic area, it allowed easy access to the inland. With breathtaking landscapes and various cultural landmarks, this trip takes you to the heart of the delta, in the part unseen by the regular tourist. Some of the attraction points are: the Letea forest – a forest that grows out of sand. The isolated fishing villages like Letea, Sfistofca, C.A. Rosetti are frozen in time and are famous for their excellent fish cuisine. The beach riding will give you an extra-thrill after checking the 18th century harbor-city of Sulina. All throughout the journey, you’ll be able to enjoy the local home cooked cuisine, with a variety of fish dishes.
The event will take place in September, unfortunately on this event the use of ATVs is restricted due to naval transportation issues.
For the Danube Delta event the price is 750 euro/person and it doesn’t include the motorcycle rental fee, which is 75 euro/day. The price for each event will vary from one event to another based on the length of the route and on how long it will be.
